Energy Planning/Conservation Studies

ENAR has been intensively involved in Energy Planning and Conservation activities of the country from last more than two (2) decades. In view of ENAR's involvement, it has developed an in-depth understanding of energy sector of the country. In energy planning are a ENAR has been developing various planning and forecasting models since late 1970s. ENAR has developed National Energy Plan for Pakistan, covering the period from 2004-05 to 2019-20 and also updated the energy forecast on an annual basis to reflect changes in the energy landscape of the country. The updation work (Pakistan Energy Outlook) preliminarily involves incorporation of actual data 2004-05 and changing the assumptions considering the prevailing ground realities. ENAR is the pioneer in developing the realization and need to conserve energy. In this area also ENAR has carried out at numerous studies & audits.
